Got pretty good color on my hide but had a few lighter spots so I decided to try something different, When I smoked the second side I put a trash bag over it to maybe help color the other side, worked nice and will probable do this more often. Will showed up with a new project, a brain tanned glass case, he is getting pretty good at sewing.  :) He gifted me this one. Pretty cool. :)

I decided not to smoke my second Hide, just trimmed the edges, it is so white and soft, looks good on my recliner. :) Don getting ready for some more wood cutting  ??? :)Got the new pavilion all wired up, light on and plugs in, I use it for my equipment when nothing is going on, but for the Classic I have 12 vendors lined up for it, 43 total so the place should be full all around. :)

Looking good, Pappy! Wish I could make it back down this year for the Classic, unless something changes drastically I'll have to live it through pics and stories this year.

Pappy, Your Hides look great! Always a good feeling when you have a nice pile of wood all stacked and ready. As always, I enjoy seeing what is happening at your place. Thank you for taking the time to post. Take care, Brian

Thanks Brian/Bob. Yes I am pleased with the way the hides turned out and it is always a relief when I get the years fire wood cut and in the stack. We go through a lot of fire wood over the year, hard for me to have a camp with out a fire. :)

Looks like everything is shaping up and I'm looking forward to seeing you in a few weeks. Doug is going to pick me up so I won't have to do two back to back trips in two weeks. I have to tap your brain on hide tanning, I'm having trouble softening that hide you gifted me last year.
