Well I went out yesterday and done my Christmas shopping so I could be at the cabin this weekend.
Christmas is almost here and I have a trip planed for the week after at Land between the lakes
for a hunt so I need to get my stuff together Sat. I plan on hunting this evening and that will probably be it for a week or so.Chad said he may come down to work on some bows also Sat. so I'm sure we will get into something.Almost wished I wasn't leaving,I like it better on the farm.
Hope yall have a big weekend and merry Christmas.I will be here Monday[Got to work] but then will be gone till next year.Life is good. :) :)

Well another great weekend, didn't do much cooking ,had to much to do at no body there to eat but me,I can get by on a lot less than the others.I got my trailer loaded and ready to pull out
for LBL Wend.morning early.I did manage to fit in a little bow work, got my next Osage bow straightened  and floor tillered and some feathers ready for some new Hickory shafts.I went
through all the bags of feathers also and got them separated left and right and put away in air tight cases.Greg and Chad came down to work on bows also and Grant finished his Osage,he was very happy at first but as you will see they don't always work out. :'( Here are some pictures of the weekend.

Me working on some feathers,GregB working on some tips for his new IW bow and Chad scraping on a Hickory bow he is working on.Also my arrow building set up.The Hickory shafts I have are a little stiff so I am barrel tapering them another inch or 2 to drop the spine.for every couple of inches off it Will drop the 3 or 4 lbs. in spine weight. :)

Looks like ya'll are hard at it. Too bad about Grant's bow :'(, ya know what that means though :).
Been looking at all the fine cooking ya'll do around there, tried it myself - deer steaks smothered in bell pepper, onion, and other things. Man that's the way to eat venison!! The wife and girls even liked it, thanks!
