Looks like it's killing time at Twin Oaks.  Miss you fellas.  I'll be heading down to Quantico Marine Base this Saturday to get their classes for hunting and qualify. You have to qualify to hunt on post (3 out of 4 arrows in a plate over a 3D deers vitals at 20 yards and up in a 12' stand).  Then I should be ready to get a little weekend hunting in.  I put the target bow down last weekend and got my longbow out.  Best of luck to you boys on opening weekend.

2nd day of the season....

Leapinbare, Leapinbare won't you come home,
The deer are in the freezer, no more left to roam.
Pappy kilt two,
and Anthony did too.
It's gettin' dark and the coyotes are a roamin'
Somewhere there's a girl, she'd druther be moanin'.
Leapinbare, Leapinbare come down from that tree,
The deer are in the freezer won't you come see?
Pappy's got tenderloin cookin' in the crock,
Come in, sit a spell and listen to the fire pop.
Leapinbare, Leapinbare won't you come back
Tomorrow is your day to harvest the monster rack.

Well the place I was going to hunt did not pan out.  Maybe I'll try LBL.  :)

With my team score all 3 of us have to score a good deer to have a prayer.   :-[

Pappy, you going to be there Friday?  Seems I always leave to head home and forget something at Twin oaks.  This time I think I forgot my Knapping bag with all my tools and such in it.

Tomorrow is my 28th Wedding Anniversary.  I figured with my oldest daughter watching the baby and other youngsters I’d Bring Bonnie Sue over to visit for a few hours before I take her out to dinner or something.

Life has been very good lately for me.

Good hunting this week to all those that are going to be in the woods.

Ya Jon,I will be there about Noon ,I hope ;) ;D. Finely Friday and this has been a long week for me.
Got all my learning out of the way[Passed by the way]  ;) Now I am ready for some relaxing and Hunting.Beau is coming down for the weekend so that will be great to get and spend some time with him,I think Shanon is also planing on coming in today for a few days. I am sure there will be a lot around Sat. and Sunday. We are finishing the last leg of the 18th Deer Classic, this is the best part of the shoot as far as I am concerned. We usually check in 20/30 Deer and at least 1 or 2 Turkey and will cook and eat at least 2 or 3 of them. :) I have a few good spots to give a try but as everyone know, there is nothing sure about Hunting, especially bow hunting with the stuff we choose to use.The weather is supposed to be nice once the rain gets through so I am looking forward to that.Hope yall have a good one and good luck if your season is open and you can get get out after um.  :) :) :) I am so excited I can't sleep, this is my time of the year.  :) :) :)
