Had a great weekend, good food and a lot of bow work done, even had time to get the range and grounds ready for our shoot this Sunday.Greg got his recurve shooting after a lot of tweeking.
Had a little problem with a splinter but thinks it can be repaired,I think so to.8up's son got his Hickory bow shooting as did his nephew.Grant also got his shooting but missed weight so we cut it off and turned up the tips and picked the weight back up and then re tillered and it turned out good.It was 72 in. long anyway so we had lots to work with.I got my sister bow braced but needed a little more tweeking so I got that done and am letting it rest for a day or 2.I got a coat of sealer on my BL bow and shot it some,no frets yet seem to be holding up great.Gave the little bow to Allison and got hugs all day, every time she got close I got another hug. This is her first bow so now we are working on teaching her to shoot.Lots of pictures ,hope you enjoy.

Life was good at Pappy's. I was there but avoided the camera well. I was highly honored to become Twins Oaks newest member. I helped with putting out targets and met a few people too. I finished tillering my sons bow (Ronnie). I was pleased with the way it shot but not with the tillering. The Food was great, Cast Iron could be a chef somewhere. Greg Taught me to build a flemish string. The weekend was fun, educational, and stress relieving as usual.........Ron

Pat, those potato halfs that Grant cooked in the oven were heavily backed with some seasonings...don't know what, but they were really good I was told. Grant also cooked burito's for lunch Saturday served with black beans, I heard they were good also. Of course I was dieting eating lettuce and carrots! ;D
