Man, it's great we got the band back together!
Guns have triggers. Bicycles have wheels. Trees and bows have wooden limbs.

Looks like I'll have to grab a hunk of wood, my rasp and settle in for good times again.

Pappy: your thread 'life is good' is the first one I check when I get on line. Been reading since well, seems like since y'all started posting it.

YES!  Now my family won't have to listen to my hunting stories and bow-making failures anymore.

...well, not quite as much anyway.   ;D

Well we are back!!! Had a busy week at the cabin, it is the time of year after deer season that we make outr year supply of Brats, so spent most of the weekend prepping for that, did manage to get in a little hide work along the way. Been really cold here so about ready to do some ice fishing in my front porch pond.  :) Started getting ready Thursday for Beau and my Brat making Saturday.  :)

Our special board.  :) Rocky and his son Brett showed up from MI. They stayed the nigh on the way to the SCI convention in Nashville, I fed them back strap, tatters and beans, great seeing them as always, good friends and really great guys. Our wood pile is getting low so a good friend that is having some logging done brought us a load of butt logs, this won't be enough for the year but it's a start.  ;) :)

Glad to see it Pappy.

I gotta do some meat processing to. Need to plan ahead so I know when to get everything out of the freezer. The brats look good.

Ya BJ took a while thawing 100 lbs of meat, I bag it when I grind in 10 lb bags so the thawing is pretty slow.  :)

I do similar. I like to debone a cut my grind meat in to chunks small enough to grind a then vacuum pack it in big bags till season is over. That way I don’t have to cut it frozen and I can run it through my grinder half frozen. It grinds really nice that way.
