I like to open them up with some scrapes around the edges and down the middle , it really make them dry out and get tight, got one scrapped Thursday and a good start on the second, should have finished up the second Thursday because Friday turned it to a cloudy damp day. :) But got side tracked with tip over lays and some floor tillering On Margaret Ann's bow. ;) :)

Headed to the cabin this morning, Christmas is over and I am feeling a little better so time to get some of my little projects taken care of. :) Got a deer on ice to process, thought I was done  ???but had a buddy call last evening that had killed a doe he didn't want so got one more to skin and process. :) Also got a couple of hides to flesh and rack up along with a euro mount on a good friends deer head. Should be a busy weekend  :) It is supposed to rain the next few day so a good time to get caught up. Maybe get to hunt a little more this coming week and that will wind it up for the year, been a tough year with this cough but just maybe just get 1 or 2 more sets in before it's over. :-\ Hope yall have a good one also. Good weekend, had a lot of rain and still just can't seem to get over what ever it is I have so not 100% but managed to stay busy and get a few things done, for sure better than laying around on the couch. MY girls and me had a pretty peaceful Friday, they like to hang out close where they know the food is. I got another hide all scrapped and sanded, I think I am up to about 30+ now, not sure what I will do with all them but they make good gifts/trade material and will brain tan a few I am sure.  :)

Had a buddy bring me a doe he didn't want so I made pretty quick work of getting it boned and on ice to soak for a few days.  :)
