I told them Pat and they said Ha also, see ya in May.

Had a great few days, very busy but lots of friends around to make it all fun. Jesse was passing through also headed to Vegas so we all had a good time. I sent a lot of time in the shop working on knives and sheaths, also some hid work. Got sheathes laid out for the 2 knives and another small blade laid out, I am not much on leather work so my sheaths are pretty simple.

Rocky and Kevin showed up along with Jesse and Josh who in in for the winter from Wy. We all stayed busy doing something and shooting the bull of course.

Got my big hide smoked, it turned out really nice. Also got some feathers laid out to start getting ready for the arrows for the trophies for the Classic, need 100 cut and sanded.

Then Friday we had a wood cutting, I have a lot of trees down from the big wind storm so pretty easy to get to, all good red oak.

Got about 7 cords cut, need a few more to get us through the year. That evening I pretty much got my knives and sheaths finished, just need sealing.

Then Saturday morning went into Brat making mode, made about 200 for Beau and 100 for me, Beau /Shawn and myself work together very good and was done by noon.

Beau's make his pretty plane, my mix has a little more stuff in it. The grand kids always love brat making day, after the brats were done we spent some time in the creek and of course on the tractor, love it when they come down. That's if for my weekend. Hope yall had a good one also.

Been a great but very wet weekend, we needed the rain so not complaining , it did stop our planned Rabbit hunt but still had a good meeting and some time in the shop and around the fire, even got out a couple of time between the rain to shoot the practice range with several buddies, that's always a hoot.Spent most of my time working on knives, as we all know a man can't have to many knives.

I keep a few and find good homes for some so none go to waste.

Put the final coat of sealer on my neck knife sheaths , just need to make some lanyards and they are finished. Had a couple of blades a good friend gifted me so decided to put some scales on them, both nice blades. I don't do a lot of that kind of work but it was fun for a change. First scales are elk horn and the second out of a large leg bone.
