Think I shot four elk in the snow and a few had a weird neon globe hanging near them. Was a good snowy round with nothing but deer tracks running thru the course.

Ya GregB is a very talented guy, I do a little but looks nothing like that. ??? He has the patients and really takes his time in doing it and thinking it out. I fly by the seat of my pants. :)

I love the pictures, Pappy.  :)  We're having a bit of a heat wave here in Wind River Country.  It was up around 50 here yesterday afternoon; I went for a run in shorts.  Highs in the 40s today! But windy as a November politician.  That shouldn't last.  The days are getting longer, the house finches are singing, and spring is on the way!

Heading to the cabin in a bit , got a few projects I plan on working on today along with loading my truck to head to the Spring Fling in the morning. Rocky and the boys are coming in from MI. this evening to stay and head out with me in the morning, be good to see them and I am sure we will eat good and have some good times around the fire tonight. :o Looks like lots of rain for the weekend so that should put me in the Classic mode, little rain never hunts the fun anyway. Hope yall have a good one also. ;)

Had a great weekend, little wet but still loads of fun. I got a couple things done in the shop before I left Friday morning and a little more when I got back Saturday evening, here are a few pictures. Got my little blade heat treated and a handle on my big blade. :) also a couple of tools for scrimshawing. I copied the one GregB had made.  ;)

Big knife complete and truck loaded for my little trip. Packed pretty light. :) Smaller knife and stand was for the raffle table at Buck Hollow. I think it made them a little money. ;)

Always a good time with them, we ate like pigs, shot our bows a lot, stayed up to late around the fire and had a lot of talking and fellowship, hard to beat that kind of weekend, the shoot at Buck Hollow was fun, a little wet but I am use to that, great course and lots of very fine people. ;) :) Then when I got back I finished the blade on my new neck knife and put the handle on, it is now ready for sealer and a sheath.  :) :) Hope yall had a good one also. Life is Good. :) :)

I recognize that little steel shank! Left you enough for a neck blank on yer vise from that tapered file.
Like that elk shank too.
