GreagB showed up with the horn I gifted him, I knew he would turn it into a work of art , and he did. Beautiful work. Mark2 working on an Osage stave I gifted him, I know Hole in the Bow Chuck will be sad when he sees it, I was saving it for him, but Mark needed a challenge, we will see if he meets it. So far so good. I will find another for Chuck when he shows back up in Tennessee.

An old friend of mine showed up last week, his father in law passed and left him a bunch of guns, as we were talking it came up about and old single shot 22 I had as a kid, never knew what happened to that gun, he showed up Saturday and gave me one just like it, thanks Joe !!! it needed some finish work so I got right on it. Tool Handles coming along very nicely.

Went to work finishing the stock on the old 22. Also a nice fire, it was cold Friday night. Also put a HHB handle in a flat shovel we use around the fire. Been broke a while and I was bored.

Jesse working on another flute. I decided to do another euro mount on a deer I found below the stable, sadly it was one I lost early in the season, I looked hard and long, bumped him once but just couldn't find him, sad, but I thought the least I could do after finding him was mount him. Really hated it but as any of us know that have done this very long, it happens.

Saturday morning Beau and my grand kids showed up for the day, what a blessing they are, great day for sure. We hiked the practice range and Margret Ann had to ride every critter on it, especially the lions.

She loved the boat /the fire and the hides, think their might be hope for her, we will see how Bodhi likes this stuff when he gets a little bigger, right now he is good with it. Man they are growing.

Mark2 working on some billets to make a bow for his older daughter, he is eat up with it right now, hope it holds. Stock getting its finish and euro mount done, and brats for lunch. about time to make some more, getting low.

Tool handles finished, rifle finished and back together, turned out nice for a guy that don't like finish work.

Mark2 got the billets to a ring and splice laid out, ready to cut and glue up. Then a nice fire and some rest after a long weekend. Seems the site is working right now, still says not secure but posting is going ok at least and seems to be faster at least for me. hope yall enjoy and had a good weekend  also. Life is Good.

Great weekend, went down on Thursday, had an idea of converting and old out house into a smoke house to get an even color on my hides, worked pretty well, need a little refining but so far so good. Few pictures of the fun. Smoke house in use, at least it smells good now  We haven't used these in years, and a good fire Thursday night, kind of cold and chilly all weekend.

Got my Hack berry bow off the form, nice even reflex and most of the crook taken out, needs a little more tweaking but much closer than it was. Also next knife in the works, got the rasp softened and ready to work. My girls relaxing by the warm fire.
