I know for you Northern and western boys this ant much snow but we woke up Sunday morning to cold and snow at least cold for us Tennessee folks. :) Also had quite the adventure getting Case's deer out, it was raining and sloppy in the woods, I went in the Kobota to get it and slid off in a gully, laid it over on it side, :-[ lucky I managed to jump out without getting hurt to bad. :-\ Just jammed a thumb and a little sore but other than that no worse for wear. Took the wench and stood it back upright and then had to get Kevin/Scott to come over with my Dodge 4x4 and pull me up out of the woods, yep that is what memories are made of, we will laugh about it in a few years. :-\ Hope yall had a good one. I know I did. Life is Good. :)

Pappy,  we are supposed to get  wiser as we get older but it seems to lag behind just a bit for most of us.

Thanks Michael/Guy and JW, Yes we are supposed to get wiser with age, not sure that is happening with me. Miss Joanie stays on me all the time, she will say you "can't do that anymore", my response is " WHY NOT." ;) :) :) Still very much down in my back but it seems if I keep moving it's not so bad, Soooo I am headed to the cabin as soon as I get away from here and hope to get in some shop time. I got old Gimpy skinned / boned and in the ice water soak  yesterday so I will have some meat to cut up Saturday. Not sure what else, maybe bow work or ax handles :-\ We are still very much in the wood cutting mode so may help in some of that also, YA that should be good on my back. ??? ;) :) I am off Monday [MLK day] ;) :) so looking forward to a long weekend to maybe do some body mending. ::) I know yall have probably heard this before but I will share it anyway, My motto to live by "Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well preserved body...but rather to skid in broadside thoroughly used up, totally worn out, with bow in hand and loudly proclaim...WOW...What a ride !!!  Hope yall have a good one. See ya Monday. Life is Good. ;) :)

Hate to hear about the back, Pap. But, when you play hard you pay a little. you can play a little longer with plastic and Titanium parts, though. But, I imagine we'll both be sliding in the 4th turn together.

Great weekend, very cold but fun just the same. Still down some what in my back so most of my work was done from a setting position. It seems to be getting a little better, maybe in a few months I will be good as new. ;) ;D ;D I worked on ax handles and we cut and split some more fire wood. I also got time to get my Osage ready to brace. Here are a few pictures of the  cold fun. :) Wood pile coming along and Sally getting fat as a pig. ;) :)
