Great weekend, I finely got able to shoot my hunting bow and really enjoyed the time in the woods, seen 5 doe but no shots, that's ok still really enjoyed it. :) Had lot of friends over this weekend. King Ron showed up with his son for a short visit and Doug came in from Chicago where he had been all this fall with his Grandson that has some serious medical problems so it was very good to get to see both of them again. Also managed to get some projects done in the shop and the cooler and kitchen cleaned out. :) Here are a few pictures of the fun. I got Beau's and Det,s skulls finished, they turned out pretty good I think and they both loved them. ;) :) Also finely got some kind of edge on the ax Chuck put the handle in for me.  :)

Been gone for over a week, hunting in Northern Michigan.  It is our firearm season.  No wall hangers but got some meat for our freezer, anyways.  Took a lot of reading to catch up.  Looks like ya'll been slaying the deer.  Life is Good.

Ya Jon is proud of his hat Matt. ;) :) Had a great evening, decided to hunt the old ladder stand down by the pond and deer were moving very good. Seen 3 doe right off the bat and then a bunch of Turkeys came rushing in and messed that up. ::) :( Then about an hour later seen a nice 8 point running a doe, came with in 40 yards or so but no shot. When they left seen MY 7 point, ;) I thought sure he was going to give me a shot but again no Cigar, he got all puffed up and went after a smaller 8 point and off they went. I plan on a short move this evening to the area they came out of. I have a stand in that section of woods so we will see if they are still in that area this evening. :-\ No shots but what a great afternoon, weather was beautiful and didn't hear but one rifle shot all evening, it was almost like bow season back again. ;) Loved it. :)
