Dana, your response above reminds me of a guy I used to work with......
he would get the boss all fired up over something then ask him "ya still love me ??"     ;D

Pappy, I for one am happy to engage folks in discusions about politics and religion. I end conversations quickly though, if it becomes derogatory or disrespectful. If it dissolves to that point why continue?

Just be happy to do it somewhere else.  ;)

Lowell, not unless the Crossbow was a religious symbol. ;)

If you have to pull the trigger, is it really archery?

I guess the thing to do is to read the initial post, read all the posts after that, go back and read the initial post again and then post your comments. If the comments get highjacked  reading the initial post again before posting will hopefully keep the thread on track.
If the powers that be do not want discussion about non related to archery stuff then they should not reinstall Anything Else. I will miss that " setting around the fire" element though.  Semper Fi,

Grunt, we do want the "sitting around the fire discussion" if it can just stay away from politics and religion. Somehow it seems someone can post a possum recipe and it winds up being a three-page argument about gun control in Kyrgyzkstan or how the DNR has failed in its possum management stategy because of the secret liberal conspiricy agenda or how public schools are in league with PETA to promote interspecies marriage. ;D

Just had a great idea, a section just for politics and religion, the moderators can ignore it, and dana can be in charge!!! =)

Lol jamie ;D. Seriously not a bad idea though!  Don't go to that section if you have thin skin and it would all be contained in one area outside of archery related stuff...

And then it bleeds over into other forum sections and starts flame wars, like some other forums I could name. I've been guilty of posting political comments in Anything Else myself and that was wrong. I think it's the lack of a Politics-N-Religion forum that keeps this site so great. I support the no politics-no religion policy.
