Bamboo Cost?
« on: February 06, 2010, 05:46:55 pm »
I have a place I can cut some bamboo near my house. It is green and approx 4" dia. is this worth cutting and using/selling? if so, what can I get for it. Or is it better to just buy some. Also how do you go about drying it? Sorry for all the questions, but the search on here didn't help me much.

Probably not worth selling unless you just have time to spend. I would cut it for personal use or trading though. There are a couple of ways to dry it, but I don't know which is best. Some split it, while others run a piece of rebar down the middle and break all the plugs out so air can pass through and dry it.
Everything happens for a reason, sometimes the reason is you made a bad decision.
