MOLLEGABET style Guava bow
« on: January 29, 2010, 02:29:00 am »
I didn't really have any plans when I started to work on this bow, but the high crown of this sapling dictated a wider flattish belly, a huge edge knot dictated the drastic narrowing of one limb 2/3rds  of the way down, so i decided to make a Mollegabet style bow

it shoots real nice, kept well over 1" of reflex ( multiple deep tempering sessions )

62" ntn, 66 # @ 26" , tryed to keep the tips a bit on the primitive theme since the design of the bow

I like it Manny. It looks fast!
With a fine osage selfbow, my elkhide quiver filled with cedar arrows fletched with turkey, and with the invitation of the forest, I am about as happy as a man can be.

Very nice bow Manny. Always a pleasure to see your work. Good call making the style fit the bows character. ;) Congratulations on another fine weapon
