Hello all
I thought I would share with you some of my latest arrows. These are all made from Hazel shoots collected the year before last, collected about 150! All the standard arrows are hand fletched with natural turkey feathers, these I collect from a farm each Christmas, and bound on with linen thread.
The cresting identifies each batch of arrows to there stiffness or spine, not that I spine them with a spine tester just hand spine them, shoot them and see how they go, getting better at it now. I am still experimenting with arrow points, some here are wood and some with a metal screws inserted. I have just obtained some stone heads so hope to have arrows made up with these this year. The slow arrows also have wood points reinforced with a piece of copper tubing to stop them splitting. I have probably got enough arrows to last me few years but I cant stop making them, its addictive like bow making.
