This is a project I started on New Year's Eve and just finished last night. It took me roughly 30 hours of workmanship from start to finish. This is only my second experience with bead work, I really enjoyed it and learned alot. I used a contemporary applique technique on buckskin. I took the advice of a friend and allowed "Mother Earth" to guide me as far as color schemes and patterns went. I think it came out pretty good.
The knife is a joint project because the Novaculite point was given to me as a gift from Wade a.k.a. N2evrything. (We've been great friends for the past 12 years and on his latest visit to Oregon he presented me with it). I immediately decided what I was going to use it for. I added the antler and sinew for asthetics. From there the sheath just sort of spawned out.
