Primitive archer Ottawa bow

What did everyone think of the ottawa bow in the latest issue?  I thought it was cool as all get out.  I am considering trying one.  I am just concerned about the scallops and intergrity of the back.  I would think hickory might be a better choice for this design.

big country,
I wrote that ....the "scallops" dont hurt the back....I did that one from ash because that was THEIR prfered wood and I believe that Hickory is a whole lot tougher....shouldn't be any trouble that I know of.

That was a cool bow.  You did an awesome job.

Do you shoot that one much?

I really enjoyed reading it.  Thank you
