stress relief
« on: January 12, 2010, 01:48:17 am »
well i had a union meeting tonight(contract vote)
by time i got home i was a little hot under the collar.
i just couldnt get the steam out from under my collar.so after i ate supper i went donw stairs.
grabbed a spall of some nice peacock obsidion, well temper and obsidion dont go well together.
after i destroyed that purty spall.i said "ah hell with it,lets hit someting thats a little harder"
so i dug thru my pile, found a piece of coral.and went nuts on it.
after a little while with my copper bopper,i had a failry thin preform,
it had a few hinges in it,but i worked them out with some pressure flaking.
to my surprise,i didnt destroy the piece of coral,i actually made a pretty decent point.
and felt a whole lot better.itas amazing how beating on rock for about and hour and half can just let the stress out. ;D
well here is my stress reliever for the night.
enjoy and thanks for peeking

been there longer,yes
get the better jobs,nope
they all drink with the girl that dispatches the work, she lives with one of the techs
so in our shop,if you kiss butt, and drink like a fish you get better jobs
i wont kiss up,i have the skills and abiltiy and experience.if that aint good enough, well then i will take my 40 hrs guarantee pay a week
and enjoy it.
i make premium pay with longevity(senior master journeyman ;D)
so i make more than most of them, even with their sucking up.

as far as grievence goes, even our union rep from the office was ther,he didnt seem to care what they said
so i know a grievence wont do any good.

My Son went for 3 Years to U.T.I. in Houston for Automotive...Ford F.A.C.T....Motorcycle and Industrial Diesel Tech Training....spent 30 grand damned near...and I had to move Him Home from Houston because he was costing Me $1,000.00 a Month to live there and Work all week at a Dealership...He was the Newbie...they would only give Him Oil Changes and crappy non paying work...so after spending in excess of 30 Hours a week at this Shop...he would take Home about $175.00 after taxes....His rent was $650..do the Math.... >:(...all the Schooling and Money did Him nothing...now he is an Ironworker...hanging from a belt building Steel Structures in the Refinery I work at...far cry from an Auto Tech....eh.....

Tim I think thats your best point yet, really like it, would look great in my case.

As for the Union thing we have a bunch of young bucks that believe they are in control but its obvious that they can't count
because as of right now its 7 codgers/almost codgers to 5 youngins >:D Can't wait for contract time and I get to edukamate them puppies >:D
