Last of the year
« on: December 31, 2009, 04:58:19 pm »
I just finished this one yesterday. It is bamboo backed with a bamboo belly. I don't know what the inner lams are as this was a James Parker throw away glue-up. He gave it to Chris Cade and Chris said he didn't have time and gave it to me. This reflex-deflex is plenty fast. It is 64" N to N, 55# at 28". I finished off the Bamboo with flat black engine paint then Shellacked it. This bow is an inch and a quarter at the fades with Mesquite tip overlays. Sorry, no money shot. I'm home alone. Not for BOM.

Thank you, Gordon. That was the first time I did a Bamboo back and belly.

Thanks, Tell, there is nothing fancy about it. But it shoots real nice.

That looks great Eddie. I like the dye job and contrast with the edge of the boo.  I was glad to see this because I've been working on that D/R yew bow and the tiller kept looking like I was flat in the mid limbs, and bending to much at the fades. Even though I know it's the nature of a D/R tiller profile I'm glad to see this one for confirmation. Thanks

Purdy. The front profile with the double shelf is wild looking.
