Best finish for unbacked osage

just looking for some ideas on finishes for unbacked osage. any thoughts? recomendations?

Tru oil is a big favorite. I have also had good luck rubbing in satin tung oil finish.

My favorite is Tru oil, I've also used Waterlox and a Parrafin finish.  The parrafin is looks very natural, but needs to be reapplied every once and a while.

3 coats of Tru Oil will fill the pores. Followed it up with 3 coats of spar urethane. At least that's what I do for osage. Jawge

I like 5 or 6 coats of Tru-Oil(rub down with 0000steel wool between coats) with a quick shot of satin poly to cut the shine of the Tru-Oil.

tru oil all the way... i use between 5 and 8 coats, you will know when it is enough... don't get any in your mouth though...yuck!   ;D  -josh
