More "Stuff"
« on: December 11, 2009, 04:30:06 pm »
Here's a couple Dalton points and a Sonora blade I made this week.   I don't know exactly what type you'd call that first one...just a Dalton I guess ???
The second one is supposed to be a Sloan Dalton. It ain't exactly right, but as soon as I get hold of some more rock I'm gonna try again.
That Sonora blade'll probably get hafted onto something tonight.  It'll probably end up under somebody's Christmas tree. :-\

Two things I want to see.... you knocking out one of those "little" points and him running those little diagonal flakes. That will be well worth the price of admission.

very nice
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intentions of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body. But rather to slide in sideways, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming....WOW WHAT A RIDE!!

Steven, no perfection here. Plus, you don't see all the ones I screw up. ::)

Yea, I guess it isn't really perfect... I think I see one flake out of place.  ::)  Hey I have a tree that thing would look really nice under.  Someone is going to be real happy this Christmas.   Oh yea, bring your marble making kit!

Steven, I used to make LOTS of marbles. But I don't have much equipment any more.  I have a buddy that has a roll around outfit that I'm gonna try to borrow from him to bring with me. I think a few of the fellas down there would like to see how it's done, so they can make good use of those little chunks of pretty flint that usually gets thrown away.

i love looking at your points/blades along with jesse's.
you guys are inspiring to me.
the points that i have recieved from the two of you during the last point trade, believe it or not.
i look at them damn near every day and just examine the flake scars adn patterns and the edges.
thanks to those points(such high quality of craftsmanship)i have improved my edging abilities.
its nice to have great points to look at  and get inspiration from

keep those sweet points/blades coming.cant get enough of looking at your work.
wish i could make it to the classic and get pointers from you guys, but not in the vacation plans for next year. :-\

I'll have to say, that was one tough little booger to make.
It was better, but I clipped part of the base off trying to notch it.  It had a pretty little dovetail base. :(
