have a look at the wood pics, i sawed this bow outta a 4" wide plank, i could have sworn i had flawless lines before i started. i got it to weight, took it out to shoot it and noticed a thousand run offs on this one side. all the other edges have straight grain and seem to have no run offs.
is this bow planning on detonating at full draw and taking out one of my eyes?
george always says someting like max of 2 or 3 run offs in an oak board build...it looks to me like i'm way way past his cutoff.
performance: it shoots good, just a little slow. i miss having the arrow shelf cut out SO MUCH. need to make a floppy leather rest, i think. and put something on the front to round the grip.
