Bad stave..1st snake...works

I almost through away this log. 72" n/n, 45# at 30". Actually shoots good.

Seeing a bow that shoots well from a crazy looking piece of wood amazes me !! I always stick to fairly predictable staves, and these snaky ones make me want to give it a go. Great looking work there, thanks for sharing!!

I think the key to crooked staves is just keeping the centerline between the tips and the riser. The limbs seem to work just fine, even if they're wobbling outside the line. Of course you can just say you made it while drinking beer! Thanks for looking. Tom
