thanks danlow , its an invasive species from china i think that grows along every southern creek. evergreen shrub litlle round leaves

Another cool bow with perfect tiller Ken, and from an invasive species. What more could you ask for?  Now we know that every bowyer in the South East US has good bow wood readily available.

thanks guys ,
really surprised by this one its not as hard as crepe myrtle but at 65 sg its a tough lil stick , and since it  makes the middle 50s bows i love it .

Very neat Ken. I have built many arrows from privet,and have considered it as a bow wood try,but never found any decent trees.Did you heat treat this bow? Just wondering. God bless
