BBO for a Steelers fan
« on: November 11, 2009, 08:53:34 am »
Here's a bow I made for a lady in Dallas that is a Pittsburgh Steelers fan. When her husband called and said he wanted to get her a black and yellow bow, I told him I'd have to do some thinking on it and see what I could come up with. Well I wanted to use gaboon ebony, but it's a little pricey, so I went with some black phenolic. It was the first time I had used phenolic and I was surprised how easy it was to work. First time to dye the bamboo all black also. I think all in all it turned out good. Let me know what you think.
Specs...
60"
40#@28"
1 1/8" at fades
3/8" tips
Take a kid huntin' (If not who'll drag your deer out when you get old)

That's one beautiful bow John! Love the contrasting laminations and the black boo. Lady from Dallas should love it.

Evidently this is a glass bow because of the phenolics used. Not for BOM
