This bow was made from juniper from eastern oregon, don't know what kind. I have made a few very highly strained unbacked bows from it and have never had it break on me. This was the most highly strained one yet, 33" long 50# at 19" 1"1/2 wide. Finally broke but after about a year of sevice and thousands of shots so I'm happy. Thousands of shots and a cool picture, what more could I ask for?
