Nice Bow Ryan....and Yes Elm is a good Wood for a Short Bow! As for being Plain Jane....there is nothing more Beautiful than the Perfect Simplicity of a Self Bow at it's Roots....Nuff Said.....

Looks good Ryan! Maybe plain Jane but nice. I've still got that piece of FL elm you sent me in the house - roughed out, recurved, tip overlayed and ready to tiller. At least your still pumping em out

banoch- not sure, its still on there for another day
yeah elm makes a really nice short bow i have made a couple ion the past with great results, one of them actually keep 1" of reflex @ 45# @ 27" it was 56" long
