i was in a local international market recently, and saw cow tendons for sale, (no idea what for!) but it made me wonder....how wopuld they work for backing sinew, once dried?

I've never used cow sinew but it should work. Folks that have use it say it is very greasy and hard to seperate.

Dogfood ?

I just had some a few days ago in some Thai beef soup.  Kind of like jello but a little more firm.  Not  tough, though.  Very good.

i doubt that was sinew,probably cartilage or grissel

Wolfsire, beef flavored hide glue.  ;)  I'd bet it was good. Was it Thai hot? :o

Well, I love Thai food, but I wouldn't try to eat sinew!
Actually had some cow sinew collected and gave it to my landlord for his dog the other day...

BTW. I hear totally controvers saying about ostrich sinew; what do you guys think of ostrich sinew??

Cow akille sinew is for dogfood and as already sayed - itīs "very" greasy and short in length but works fine as a backing (2 - 3 layer as minimum). Ostrich sinew is some of the very best you can get - long and strong!

It was hot as  >:D

I ordered at 10 on 1-10, cuz I'm a chili head, but watching the carbs i went without out rice.  But they had counted on the rice in measuring the heat, so it was much hotter than I expected.  My eyeballs were sweating! :o

It might not have been sinew, but that is what it said on the menu.  When I looked at it, I though that it might look like slicing of the casing, rather than the inner fibers, but I don't know.
