redo on an old favorite
« on: September 23, 2009, 05:10:40 pm »
One of my first BBO's is still my favorite.  I have had to modify it twice.  But that is all right, because it is still one of the fastest bows I have ever built.  It is a rather extremed reflex-deflex.  I had one limb that was too weak and I added a belly lam of osage and re-tillered it.  Then, the rosewood handle began to come loose not too long ago, and I decided to put some osage overlays on the handle and sort of sandwich it in.  It worked great:  I re-tillered the old girl and she is faster than ever.

Some bows you just can't let die! I have one that I named "Trouble Maker (handle with care)" that shoots very well.
Your redo worked, Dan. She's a real beauty.  ;)

I can see why you like that bow.  It is a looker.  Also looks like it can spit an arrow pretty well.

Thanks, everyone.  OldBow, I think that I submitted it once years ago.  I would rather not.  Other bows are much more deserving, I think.  I appreciate the thought, though.  I will submit a full draw picture, though, so you can see it.
