Ken, that's Sonora flint from Kentucky. It comes in nodular form and is quite scarce.   It only occures in a very small area in Hardin county Ky and that area has been picked over heavily for 30 or so years.  These days, if you spend a day looking and come away with a 5 gallon bucket full of hunting point size pieces, you done well...very well.
 It's good rock, but hard to get. 
Be thankfull for all you have, because no matter how bad you think it is...it can always be worse.

Those are fine looking points Shannon! I've still got the cane arrow with glass point you gave me last year. Plan on having it in my quiver waiting for the right opportunity! ;)

Well I got them today!! They are nicer in person than in pics.. I cant wait to stick one of them in a Pig!!
