Kolton's r/d BBI
« on: October 04, 2009, 06:50:19 pm »
I haven't been on here much lately (busy summer), but I finally finished my oldest son's bow and found the time to take some pics.  I picked up this BBI blank from David Knight at the Classic this past spring.  It is about 54"ntn and 23#@20".  I'm not sure how good the pictures show the color, but I dyed the back of the bow with black and oxblood faded together.  I continued the red and black theme with the string I made and the tips of red and black micarta(sorry).  You might notice the extra big string silencers that he bought at the Classic, they're coyote.   I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out and hope you enjoy checking it out.

Very nice job on Kolton's bow. Looks good on him and his form looks great.  ;) 8)   Don't worry about using Micarta. It's name is sexy enough to slip past the critics!  ;D  ::)

Thanks for all of the compliments!  Of course I couldn't have done so well on the tiller without all the help David gave me on the two I did before this one.  I still need to get pics and post the one I did for my younger son too.  Thanks again! :)
