You've been having too much fun exploring the Great State of Montana! Welcome back bow making. Got your fine hickory weapon bookmarked for Sept BOM, too.

Great Bow!  Elegant enough to be called art, but obviously a meat making machine.  Nice work.

That is a comfortable looking bow, Ryan. I like that old, Bear look.

Nice lookin' bow...has a familiar design to it...shot the Eel the other night and it was hittin' pretty hard--..really fine work....say....you're not trying to compensate for what looks like your own physical weight gain by lowering the poundage on your bows are you????  Lol......

Thanks for the nice words guys.
I prefer to use steam to bend almost anything anymore, but this one i did do with dry heat.  its not a very severe bend so i wasnt worried about raising a splinter.

Dax- Yeah thanks for the weight gain comment....and i have only put on 5 pounds since moving out here...lol   just stocking up for winter like a big fluffy grizzly bear.......oh and who you talk about putin on some pounds...your mirror broke?...lol

Nice Bow Ryan.... I like the Simple and User Freindly....no Special Finishes....no Fancy Grips....thats Just Me!! And I Love the Countryside there too! But You need to do a little work on the Image Situation there....I am not sure the Plaid Shirts are way cool in Montana...but Dey is Stylin in Da UP....eh!! And I don't see the Weight Gain....but then I could not get past the Plaid and Camo Combination....now if you were Wearing Shorts and Boots ....with the Plaid Shirt rolled up to da Elbows ...wit da Long John Top underneath.....now thats the Rave........ >:D.....Just ask Dana!!!!!

Thanks, recurve shooter-  if you dye with the walnut stain-    soak the leather for about a 1/2 hour then pull it out and very gently ring the water out of it. the harder you ring it out the more "antiqued" or used it looks. if you give it a real good squeeze it looks marbled.
