my first osage in progress
« on: September 12, 2009, 01:08:15 am »
This will be my first osage bow. It is 59in ttt.  I am going to sinew back it and cover with copperhead skins.  I am processing the sinew now just thought i would show it in progress.  I want to thank every one on here for all their help ive asked alot of questions on this one from how to lay out on a crooked stave to how to splice and recieved many replies.

I have only floor tillered it so far.  Right now it is praobably 50#@about 3in.  I am going to tiller after I sinew it.  Ther are a couple of pin knots at the edges of the back so I will feel better bending it after the sinew is on.
