black ash as wood?

 ???does black ash make decent bows?or should i use it has firewood?

i have never heard that much about black ash.  i would like to see what it looks like.

Black ash is one of the weakest of the ashes, if you try it keep it wide, long and flat.

Black ash is used to make woven baskets, if you beat on it with a wooden pole it will seperate at the growth rings.
