Rick, Pappy sent me your address and I'll send the bow along to you. I found a string I had made previously for another bow. It is a new string and will do some stretching, so you'll probably have to twist it some to maintain the brace height until its shot in. I'm also including a bow stringer just in case he uses one. The tips are a little on the short side, and this stringer fits it where a lot of them would cover up the string groove. Good luck with the snake skins! ;)

                                                                                   from his Primitive Archer family".  or something like that. Anyone else have any ideas?

That's fine with me as long as you think it will be ok over the finish.  I'm planning on using Tru Oil.  My writing isn't the best so this will get my wife out of doing it. ;)

 Rick, I usually put a finish on to get it smooth and then pen over that and then spray Poly and then Tru-oil. If you guys want me to do it, just let me know what to put on it and I'll do my Bestus job.

I got the bow today.  It looks good.  The tips are SWEET.   I'll be starting the finish work tomorrow night.  Was the sinew put on with hide glue or Titebond?   Just wondering about my glue choice for the skins.  I usually use Titebond liquid hide glue (bottle) for skins.  It gives me a long working time and easy to fix air bubbles.
