Bagdad Beauty Help
« on: August 05, 2009, 09:04:35 am »
Hi!
I'm new to this forum.  I just read Bagdad Beauty in PA's Vo. 17, Issue 3 and would like some help in contacting Sgt. Gibson or Mr. Vasos in regards to where I can send a couple of traditional archery items for the Bagdad Boy Scouts and the great American soldiers that are helping them.

Thank you!

Sincerely,
Kevin

I have Keith's home address. PM me and I'll give it to you. He also signs on here as armymedic.
Lakeland, Florida
If you have to pull the trigger, is it really archery?

Good news!  Sgt. Gibson (armymedic.2) and his unit are home or headed home.  He said that the Iraqi army is mostly handling things now.  Sgt. Gibson suggested that I get in touch with "Ranger B" of this forum for a possible opportunity at donating archery wares through him to some folks in Afghanistan.  Ranger B or friends of his, I'd appreciate your help in this endeavor.

Sincerely,
Kevin

Glad your doing this. Thats great.   Jimmy "RangerB" is a real good guy. I got to meet him in TN. I'm sure he will appreciate it.

Jesse-S,
Thanks for your support!

Has anybody heard from Ranger B?  I've not been contacted by him via PM as of yet.  If anyone has access to him, I'd sure appreciate you all passing along to him what I'm trying do.

Thanks again!
Sincerely,
Kevin

Update...

Ranger B, Jimmy (A very nice guy), informed me that when he comes back home in about 100 days, the archery range that he was running will become a motor pool.  I'm sure that we all wish him a safe return home, hopefully in time for some hunting.

I've turned over the two recurves and other archery gear that I was going to donate to either Ranger B's or Sgt. Gibson's causes to a friend that will be selling them on ebay.  The money generated will then be donated to a family in Dallas that is facing mounting medical bills.  I don't know the family, but a friend of mine's parents know the family and sent out an e-mail request for help.  Sooooo....Ranger B's and Sgt. Gibson's good efforts in spreading happiness through archery will in a detoured way hopefully help this family out.  Thank you both and the nice folks here that got me in touch with you all, for inspiring me to do a little extra.

Sincerely,
Kevin
