 Very sweet bow Gordon. Your work on those laminated bows is looking awesome. I like the color contrast and the tips are beautiful as well. I can't wait to see what that dose to an elk this year ;)  That would be a great story for the Pa mag. So lets get out there and make that dream come true. ;D

Great looking bow Gordon. I think the compression fracture was a fluke. On a 68"ntn that's bending like that I don't know why it happened ???  Have fun hunting :)

A beautiful bow - well done!

I've had trouble with chysals in ipe backed with bamboo and put it down to the variable thickness of the bamboo backing, but that could be just an excuse for a bad tiller by me!  Can see any faults in this bow.  Maybe ipe just does have a habit of chysalling sometimes.

 Gordon, the more I play with Ipe the more I like it. You can make the limbs so narrow, and like you said hardly any set. Great Looking bow and good luck hunting.

Gordon, as always you did good! Chrysals ...so what! It's not broken, Why do we give a Death sentence to a bow with chrysals? I have a black Locust built by Gary Davis that has chrysals in the lower limb, thanks to my step thru stringing early on. It's still going strong!

Actually Bullit, I think the bow will be fine. The chysals are small and on an edge which isn't bearing much load given the oval profile of the belly. I just can't make myself give it to someone else with that kind of flaw.

I guess I'll have to wear the hat less. Who knows, maybe my shooting will improve ;D.

Gordon, it was the tip over lay, I cut the string grove to deep. The over lay broke right at the string grove and popped off. I think I am going to hunt with my old bow, it is six inches longer and seems to be easier to shoot.

Wow Gordon nice bow!!!!  How did you get the curves in the tips?  Did you use dry heat?   I am asking because I just got some Ipe and I want mine to turn out like yours.   Also how wide is it at the fades and how do the limbs taper?   Looks great man!
