vertical crack in bamboo

hey guys I just got a bamboo backed ipe , bamboo laminate  has about a 6 inch vertical crack in the boo,do I have to be worried about this?Its the first one Ive ever had,thanks Dave.

I've made bamboo backed bows with similar cracks in the back and they've been absolutely fine and are still going strong :)

Fill the crack full of superglue and keep on shooting.

No, not a big deal. Bamboo shrinks and expands much more rapidly than most belly woods, so it cracks. As long as the crack is vertical, just leave it. Try and keep the bow as moisture sealed as possible.

Bamboo splits can eventually be a problem if they go off the edge of the bow.

Ok Y'all this may sound weird, but I had a crack in one a mine a few years ago. I did a Liberty Bell repair. At the end of the crack I drilled a round hole just a little bigger than the crack. I glued a Bamboo peg into the hole. Crack stopped and the bow shot fine.

ya but if ya look at the bell close,you can see the crack did extend beyond the pin that was put in

But it hasn't extended beyound the repair in my bow. Guess I should fixed the Bell as well!!!!
