Pressure Flakers

I just finished making me some new pressure flakers after work tonight. ;D  I got some 3/4" nylon rod (thanks again Wolf Watcher), drilled em out, put in the set screws and that's all there was to it.  Cost me $14.84 for all 3 flakers 8).  Now I have a 5 1/2", 10", and a 18" Ishi stick.  All can be loaded from either end.  I just had a need to tell everyone :P  Joe H

yup got me one just like that,also got one made of hickory
i like the hickory one better,the other one bends more than i like
but works nice for finish type flaking for me

Look like they'll work, but somehow, I think they missed the 'primitive' part.  Nice photos!

 ::)  Sometimes I get a little confused about the "primitive" when it comes to knapping!!  Copper has been around for many centuries and I have noticed that very few bows come even close to being made with just ABO tools.  I started out primitive as that was all I had to work with, but over the years have used every tool and every means to save precious stones to make stone tools, arrowheads, knifes. etc.  So if that makes me a Primitive traitor, then I guess my evolution has gone backwards!  Pokie
