Needed a fix!
« on: August 16, 2009, 09:11:10 pm »
Well, sorta. ;D I actually needed some hunting points for this season, and since it's only a month away I figured I'd better get busy. Dug through my Texas rock and found enough for a few.I'm really fond of Georgetown for my hunting points,Tough, sharp and nice to work with. Knocked out a coouple before church and then I got busy this afternoon.

The dark grey ones are GT,the tan one is perds, and the other 2 are of jeff city chert. Weights vary from 110-130 grns, but they all need a final sharpnin.I'll do that after I shoot um a bit. Now,I gotta get to them arras! ;)

BTW the second pic is a Saw filer hero shot! ;D

Sweet points Tim!  I'm getting ready to start the same thing.  Need to get some hunting points done, then some cane arras made to mount them on.  It's gonna be here before you know it.

Post some pics of them when you get them mounted.  I'm wanting to see those corner notched ones.  I haven't tried to mount any of that style yet.  Usually use the Cahokia style for my hunting heads.

Clint,I may get some time this weekend to mount a few. I'll try to take some pics.

Ok.  Thanks Tim.  I've gotta get busy and get some of my stuff going.  Got the cane, got the points...at least a few.  Just need to find some time to get it all put together.
