Here are the finished pics of the O/O/H bow. This one was begun in
another thread, TWO LAMINATED BOWS BEGUN or someting like that. It is
60-inches overall length,, two lams of osage and the back is hickory.
Glued with WeldWood (tm). It weighs 414-grams and pulls 49# at 24"
measured with a stick and a bathroom scale. My regular bow test
scale is taking a vacation I guess, I can't find it anyplace. The
finish is a dilute lye solution for color, then washed off and dried
and tung-oil, three coats. String is 16-strands of B-50. If I was archer enough this one would drive 16-penny nails in oak......hits hard and fast. Thanks to you experts who advised me during the making. Like ElDestructo says, "A little osage goes a long way".
