Another R/D...
« on: July 27, 2009, 12:48:26 am »
Here's a maple backed maple R/D bow I just finished.  It's around 48 lbs, 63 " ntn, with a tempered belly.  Brown stain over red alcohol stain.  That's about it.
Hope the pics turned out ok; I'm on a tiny screen and can't really see them well...

Great looking bow, great tiller, nice detail work and finish. Are the nocks cut across the back, or do you have overlays on it?

Great candidate for July Laminate BOM. Wonderful FD profile. Love the unbraced pic with the cow.

hello barrage

at first: you built a wonderful bow!

second: i got a question. you said the bow is maple backed. is there a intact ring on back or how did you do it?
