hey tim, none of the 3 guesses was supposed to be, "Send it my way!" they were all : "make a bow with it, duh!"
As for the yew...i got it, but man it ain't easy stuff. when you pick up deadfall it's pro's and con's. You get seasoned wood, no waiting. But you can only be so choosy. Except for 2 or maximum 4 pieces, it's all gnarled and the sapwood's rotten and checked. I have to take off the sapwood on most of them. I brought home some 7 foot sections (staves) but most of them will have to be taken down to billets and then spliced. Crap, my hobby bandsaw is gonna complain about this!
As for the full draw, i agree: it looks off. The bow overall looks great, and the craftsmanship is obvious, but it seems like one limb bends considerably more than the other?
