Mike, I just got a new neighbor, i only rent half the place. I'll let you know next time it comes up for rent, but i think it would be a LONG commute for ya.  :D

Howdy John K.,

Hey, I have an HHB stave about 57".  I was thinking of making a "toy bow" (around 35#), but since you managed to make a serious huntin weapon - I'll have to try to also.

I'm thinking of making mine with a more bendy handled than yours, for (about) 50#@28".  Do you think that's a good idea?

Question:  What width (out of the fades) do you reccommend?

Hi Canoe, I don't see a problem with getting a bendy handle 50# bow out of you'r stave. HHB is pretty tuff stuff, you don't need much of it to make a bow.

I'd start at about an inch and a hlaf and go from there. Thats what mine started at just out of the fades and went the full length of the stave except for the last 10"s, then i tapperd to about 3/8.
