What i think is pretty remarcable is how quite and handshock free it is, considering I'm not even shooting 10 grpp and those way overweight outher limbs and the fact that pretty much all the bending is at the handle.


Kegan, I thought this would be a one time deal, but after those results I might try to get a 60-65 pounder, I will use a bit more shoots this time

Dude I can hear the ocean in the background, how close to the beach are you? That is a pretty wicked bow for some sticks tied together. You have inspired me to play around with some of the local stuff here and see what happens. I know where I can find some super straight thinner branches of osage that might make a bow like that.

Micheal, that's an excellent idea using osage.  I think I'll try it too.  How's this for a thought, since I/we would be cutting them green, we bind them together, straightening and matching them to one another while they dry.

Sounds fun, I actually have a main branch I cut a few days ago I had planed on making a hiking stick out of, I just need some stabilizer smaller branches now.

Michael, the only way to hear the ocean from my house is on a very calm windless nite, and the waves have to be pretty big  no waves this time of year 

but thanks for the compliments,...just got back from an evening hunt and collected a few shoots, have a few ideas for an improved version
