I have saw billets out of antler and copper and wood ,I wanted to know if a brass billet will work?

most any thing will work But some thing work better..Like Copper...... Brass works good for sparling.

yeah, I think brass works just fine. It's a bit harder than copper, but it should work, although I've never tried it. I have seen brass hammers and billets in other people's toolkits though.

I've used a big chunk of brass to spall before, but it's too hard and slick to make a good billet for general knapping.
