milk snake osage
« on: July 04, 2009, 04:48:55 pm »
This stave gave me fits but is my all time favorite. Had a huge milk snake skin with a hole in the middle. Pat B's craft show copperhead bow inspired me to split it and wrap the ends - thanks for the advice Pat, amd those who helped with brace advice - turned out after further shoot in to be about equal.

60" NTN, 47# @27" Have to redo the handle - don't like the "Middle only" like I thought I would.

i got one nice sized skin and a few that are like a foot long. the big one was....oh so ironicly.....killed by a fish arrow through the top of the head from a bridge.
the cop that was about to run us off decided it wasnt really that important when i pulled a 4 foot cotonmouth up onto the bridge beside him.  ::)
lets just shoot it
