Quickie's Revenge- tribute to an abused shooter
« on: June 22, 2009, 12:32:09 am »
so, i built this little HBI a couple months ago to test out the combo. i spent less than 3 hours on the bow, but it just seemed to want to be a bow & it came together very nicely. problem is- i built it to break it....it didn't want to break, even after being severely overdrawn. a friend took an interest in it, and i traded him some strings for it. the second time he took it out to shoot, it broke! lesson learned: don't trade a bow that you've tried to break! i felt the need to replace it for him & made this one a little more durable. 28# @ 28", 64" ntn hickory/ipe.

it even has the Strunk inspired golf tee arrow rest (at least John's the one who showed me the tee rest).

cheers,
Rob

tiller looks good,is it asymetrical ? every sense John's class i've been playing around that type of tiller. i have to admit i like the way the bow feels in the hand w/this type of tiller. nicely done.

I like this one-wood combination, tiller and all! Nice craftsmanship! We'll look at it next week for June Laminate BOM fun.
