Katie's Bow
« on: June 22, 2009, 07:58:50 am »
Katie and her dad came to the Tn. Classic this year and camped. Katie really enjoyed herself and was a real trooper never complaining about the rain and the mud, but instead like the majority of others that came to the Classic...she enjoyed meeting people and seeing everything that was going on. I work with Katies dad and have known Katie her entire life, she has always been a very sweet person! I decided I wanted to make a bow for her.

It's a 56" osage 25#@20". It had some character to it with some dips and dives and knots, etc. I put buffalo horn tips on it and I'm proud of how the bow turned out. I hope everyone likes it... ;)

Quite the bow. Looks like premium osage. The tip work is a good lesson for all of us. I got to meet Greg at last year's Classic. Figures that a gentleman like him would make a fine gift bow for the little lady.

Bow is real nice - tips are great.  I haven't done that type, yet...  I've given away 3 bows, it's as much fun as making 'em, almost.
