Has anyone ever used vine maple saplings as shaft material?

No, but I've used red, striped and sugar maple, all worked well.

ok. thanks. after getting into the ones I have I think only two would make good shafts I might use the others just for wall hangers. I've got some executive type hunting buddies that like that stuff on their office walls. (they are the kind of guys that hate having to spend all their time in the office like me).
